Sharpco Hotels Group has officially broken ground on a new 67-room Comfort Inn & Suites in Mansfield, capturing a prime growth opportunity in a market driven by robust regional traffic, major industrial employers, and active energy sector operations. The hotel will be built at Interstate 49 and US Highway 84 interchange, neighboring the LOVE’S Travel Center—a high-volume travel plaza that serves as a major employer and primary commercial hub for regional motorists. When completed, the Comfort Inn & Suites will become the first hotel at this strategic exit, to travelers and supporting continued economic expansion in DeSoto Parish.
The project will feature the Comfort brand’s Rise & Shine prototype, which includes a modern lobby, flexible seating areas, refreshed guestroom layouts, and amenities designed for both business and leisure guests. Plans call for complimentary hot breakfast, high-speed Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and dedicated meeting space.
For Sharpco Hotels Group, the project represents a major step forward in bringing fresh investment, job creation, and modern infrastructure to the area.

Sharpco previously owned and operated lodging properties in Mansfield throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, and the company says the new Comfort Inn & Suites will build on that foundational presence by delivering updated hospitality standards to meet today’s commercial demand.
Construction is now underway, with the hotel expected to open once development is completed.
